Sunny Sunday Vibes.

Waking up feeling rough due to my head being so bruised, no sleep and panicking about functioning through the day -  I was quick to motivate myself by reminding myself of the good vibes today is going to bring. I am starting to believe that I can feel rubbish but I am enjoying spreading this passion of mine so much, I am around good supportive people, who's company is chilled (which is what I need right now), I am going to my fave country in just 10 DAYS, my book is going to be released on Wednesday, we have our 50's Style Street Party at the health club on Saturday - I have so many projects I am taking on, it all literally is go, go, go and it is hard work right now, but I need these things to keep me going, keep the fire within burning, keep me motivated
 

 I am always so quick to judge myself and be harsh on myself - but actually everything I do I do give 200 per cent too - feeling awful or feeling ace, I am always there. Pain and depression are soul destroying but the key is to not let them defeat you. Keeping myself busy, getting up not laying around, yes I sometimes break down - but I bounce back. And after all people don't define you by your fall - they define you on how you rise.

I found a video from a 20 year old who changed her diet to plant-based 3 years ago and was answering questions about people not seeing 'progress' on this lifestyle straight away and she explains it has taken her 3 years to settle in fully to this lifestyle and with all my recent health blips this video really just proves to you that there isn't ever a 'quick fix' in life , we have to work at everything, and work hard to eventually get amazing results and have patience because as the quote says,  ' Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds you plant.' If we know we are keeping motivated and working hard we will eventually see results in the end - and athlete doesn't become an Olympic gold medalist over night - they train day in day out for years and years, they have injuries, set backs, periods of no improvement or declines in performance. People will judge you and doubt you -example: telling athletes that they may have had their day after a long period of no improvements, and people who are on taking this lifestyle may feel the same at first, they may not instantly lose or gain weight, they may still suffer from some of their health issues but I want to inspire you to stick with it and motivate yourself everyday, knowing you are nourishing your body and eventually you will see dramatic results and be so proud of yourself and realise all the hard work has and is totally worth it.

 

So today's message is keep motivated! Spend your time with people who support you, make you laugh and happy, eat - carb up, fruit up - enjoy amazing foods and have fun with them, soak up good vibes not negative ones - people who judge or want to pull you down aren't worth your time, because you will prove them wrong - patience is key: ROME WASN'T BUILT IN A DAY. You are a fighter and a warrior but you are only human too - remember that. I always expect myself to be like some superwoman with super powers - nobody is perfect, we all have our fights, strengths and weaknesses. Don't be hard on yourself, we need to cut the worrying and enjoy the happiness - my own advice I REALLY need to follow. We don't want to miss out on life!

Some plant-based foods are very anti-inflammatory and can help reduce pain for people suffering from arthritis. Some example of these foods are: flax, chia, all green veggies, walnuts, sweet potatoes, peppers, pineapple and carrots.

 

6# Clear skin.

Cut dairy and you will see so many results.

 

7# More energy.

This is SO true you feel buzzed, your digestive system works well so your food isn't sitting in your body rotting making you sluggish, and this means all the nutrients you are eating are beginning absorbed at their best, not hours or days later when they have decreased dramatically in value to the body.

 

 

Well I am buzzed up on bananas ( you may be able to tell with my motivational talks ) and I have a good day ahead to look forward to, so I am going to get working on my food for today; (recipes I thought up at 3am this morning) but they should be awesome, so watch out for updates - Snapchat @sophwardy , Instagram @sophiewardy :) .

Remember you are never alone, we fight and heal toether, and the journey may be a long road but we have to make it the best we can and make negatives into positives.

Feeling sluggish and rubbish when you have woken up? Get boosting up on bananas the more the better - they will help settle your stomach, boosting digestion, they are a mood enhancer, they will give you the energy you need and keep you full. Buy my book for banana receipe ideas.

Wake up every morning and ATLEAST have one glass of lemon water before doing anything else! Ideally try to drink a litre of water. The lemon wakes up your digestive system ready for the day and has great cleansing properties.

Check your dairy and meat intake - dairy can sit in your system for up to seven days unable to digest properly. Meaning other foods also get neglected and nurtients aren't absorbed properly and you feel extremely bloated. Go and smell your food bin, your stomach will be in that state. Rotting foods in your belly - hmm nice.

DO NOT FEAR CARBS - THEY ARE NOT THE ENEMY! CARB UP!!
Bananas, Rice, Potatoes, Leafy Greens, Corn, Beans, Lentils etc PACK THEM IN GO MAD.

NEVER COUNT CALORIES - NEVER RESTRICT!! These restriction 'starvation' diets who tell you to only eat 500 calories a day then have a treat day - where you binge out and eat WAY too much, is simply messing up your metabolism and on your binge days yours body stores all the fat meaning you gain weight because it knows it is going to go back into starvation mode and needs to hold onto every little thing it can. HELLO WEIGHT GAIN. 

Life is too short not to live it to the full, making yourself happy.
