It's a brand new week, and with another busy weekend I have a lot to fill you in with and edit!!
Piper's in Garstang as always treated me so well last night at Matthew's meal. I didn't photograph everything as this was a family meal and I don't want to rude but I got the main dishes 🍚🍨🍧. I was kindly served gluten, wheat, dairy free bread with an allergy free chilli sauce when everyone else got bread & dips. Matthew tried some of mine ( of course ) and loved it! I am a bread LOVER and it's so hard watching everyone munch on bread so this was SUPER kind of them. I couldn't have melon as it was set in jelly that contained gluten, however I was offered a fruit bowl with banana, grapes, sorbet and oranges. Super refreshing. For main I had a mushroom, 🍄 pepper risotto. The mushrooms were insane - I had all different types in there. Yum! I also had a side of Piper's big chips & steamed veggies ( green beans, broccoli & cauliflower ). The chips were very chunky but the very oily so I did try and eat the potato and leave the oil skin as the potatoes were super fluffy and delicious. I was then offered an allergy free apple and blackberry crumble and although I wanted a desert I was suuuuuper full by this point so I had their raspberry sorbet which is refreshing along with a Moroccan mint tea . Judith ordered some sorbet as well and preferred it over her vanilla ice cream. I then ended up having a chocolate orange, almond hot chocolate at 2.30am along with some almond trail mix and watched Mother's and Daughter's ( the perks of insomnia ).

Matthew enjoyed his day; living and remembering his childhood by hitting the bowling alley, going bowling and it being glow bowling too!
He was impressed and loved it, he also made sure he got a raspberry slush puppy! Just to get the full vibe. It was lovely to hang with Trish and Alex too.
We also had the staff do where after having tofu cheese pizzas! PLEASE TRY! I will have to add them in a book or recipe blog I may do. Using BeFree wraps ! You can purchase these from Morrisons and Booths. Mama always takes me to Morrisons where we raid the shelves for these wraps because they are so useful and taste so good.
You can use them as pizza bases, wraps or fajitas.
I then stuffed my with nuts, mainly cashews. I took down two bowls between myself and Trish although it was mainly me eating them. I also managed to eat nearly all the cauliflower and most of the celery served but I couldn't have bacon sandwiches and I didn't want a big meal at 10pm and having to cause more chaos in the kitchen making something, so I was more than happy to eat all the nibbles! Thank you Mama for all the nuts!!! I was stuffed however still craved nuts. I have been eating so many nuts recently. I guess it's that time of year. But loading up on the trail mixes. My fave are the tropical mixes with coconut, papaya, bananas, raisins all dried with cashews and almonds. Around 4pm I enjoy a salted caramel green tea, have some trail mix along with some frozen grapes if I am feeling really hungry. Whilst watching cooking videos and editing help videos on YouTube giving myself a break from blogging, email responding etc, before doing my last editing and jobs of the day. Signing off at 6pm.
As promised - although a little late so many YouTubers and bloggers do their fave picks of the month so here are my top 5 for November!!
My fave picks for November;
1. Hot Shot Choc Orange by Sweet Freedom.
I am loving this hot shot flavour as a hot choc with almond milk and almond stevia drops. It really gives you that terry orange flavour and that makes me feel festive and Christmassy. This flavour isn't in our local supermarkets but you can purchase it from Holland and Barrett.
2. Tropical Trail Mix - just made for nuts, and love the caribbean flavours. I am a big lover of dried fruit too.
3. Flapjacks - I have posted a few of my flapjack flavours but I don't want to post too many and bore you. I love making these! They are good for snacks and you can create them in lots of different flavours.
4. Lazy Days Ginger Tiffin- insane! So delicious, one of mine & Matthew's top picks. FAB for cinema treats too.
5. Plamil's ginger choc - right now this is my fave chocolate !!! I love ginger. And sometimes chocolate can be really sickly but with the ginger it really works and I can enjoy it without feeling sickly after. I think the spices match the season too! Load up on the chocolate it's the festive season, time to enjoy yourself and enjoy the festive foods. A lot of your fave YouTubers and bloggers are doing 'vlogmas', where they do a video everyday in the run up to Xmas! So this has inspired me to do my own festive project for you all. As my laptop still isn't here so it's hard to make videos like I want them. So I am going to put together a newsletter - A Sophantastic's Xmas.. with Xmas recipes, advice, restaurants to check out and new products to try ! I will be working on this in the following days and aim to get it out as soon as possible, I may do a few if people are enjoying them and using them. So you can try the recipes and products before Xmas. I hope to help people with their Christmas dinners and desserts as this can be a stressful time for people who suffer from allergies but also family and friends who have to cater for us. So I will try and give you idea and guidance.
