Hi everyone - not many days left until the big day.
We all know what a massive role chocolate plays in Christmas! So today I want to make sure that you are able to get stocked up and have some chocolate to eat on the day.
There are a few selection boxes out there that are allergy-free. Moo's Free do one, Holland and Barrett do their own and Plamil.
I have purchased the Plamil one this year purely because I enjoy their chocolate the most ! They have the biggest range of chocolates too.
Plamil is also nut free!! So if you are allergic to nuts then get yourself some Plamil chocolate don't you guys miss out either!
With my selection box I get 3 white chocolate mint snowmen, 3 chocolate orange snowmen, 2 dark chocolate bars and 1 chocolate santa.
It isn't a huge selection box but I think it's a nice size and you have a little bit of everything in them.
If you prefer 'a creamer' texture and more of a milk base to your chocolate, definetly I recommend you go with Moo's Free. Their chocolate is a lot more like milk chocolate rather than dark. As again Holland and Barrett's chocolate has the taste of more dark chocolates.
There is a company called Choices who also do a selection box as my Mum discovered. I have never tried or tasted their brand. Mama has got me one for Xmas day so I will have to fill you in later on next week how that chocolate is.
I have my Plamil's selection box ready ( even though I have already eaten the 2 dark chocolate bars on cinema trips!) we still have the main bulk of it though, I have Boojha Boojha truffles for after dinner when we have our family buffet. Boojha Boojha are a VERY exspensive brand. Their 'selection' / chocolate box is £10 for 12 chocolates. However I got a pack of 2 from Goodness Direct ( link below ) for £1.20 ! This was a discounted price too.
They do have an amazing range though and they do ice cream that is dairy free! Again Goodness Direct will do you a good deal! Sometimes nearly 50% cheaper than the regular stores.
So if you have children and are struggling to find them chocolate due to their allergens, please don't let them miss out!
There are options.
To purchase Moo's Free, Holland and Barrett or Plamil's selection boxes check out Goodness Direct and Holland and Barrett!
Use the Goodness Direct link to get good deals and find lots of goodies!!
Let me know how you get on and which chocolates you enjoyed the most!
Enjoy your day!
Love and peace
Feeling sluggish and rubbish when you have woken up? Get boosting up on bananas the more the better - they will help settle your stomach, boosting digestion, they are a mood enhancer, they will give you the energy you need and keep you full. Buy my book for banana receipe ideas.
Wake up every morning and ATLEAST have one glass of lemon water before doing anything else! Ideally try to drink a litre of water. The lemon wakes up your digestive system ready for the day and has great cleansing properties.
Check your dairy and meat intake - dairy can sit in your system for up to seven days unable to digest properly. Meaning other foods also get neglected and nurtients aren't absorbed properly and you feel extremely bloated. Go and smell your food bin, your stomach will be in that state. Rotting foods in your belly - hmm nice.
DO NOT FEAR CARBS - THEY ARE NOT THE ENEMY! CARB UP!!
Bananas, Rice, Potatoes, Leafy Greens, Corn, Beans, Lentils etc PACK THEM IN GO MAD.
NEVER COUNT CALORIES - NEVER RESTRICT!! These restriction 'starvation' diets who tell you to only eat 500 calories a day then have a treat day - where you binge out and eat WAY too much, is simply messing up your metabolism and on your binge days yours body stores all the fat meaning you gain weight because it knows it is going to go back into starvation mode and needs to hold onto every little thing it can. HELLO WEIGHT GAIN.
Life is too short not to live it to the full, making yourself happy.
