Now Mama will be laughing at this title because I am the WORLD's BIGGEST WORRIER but here are some tips I want to apply to my life in hope they help my worrying ways subside.
1. Recognise that worrying is not helping you, but draining your energy & stressing you out.
We all know how exhausted we feel over more stressful periods in our life, we need to address this and use our energy in more positive ways to go for a walk, or out with friends not sit indoors over-thinking things that most of the time we can't change.
2. Start noticing when you are worrying & give yourself permission to stop! Remind yourself regularly.
You will never get those 20 minutes back that you have spent worrying that your friend thinks you are ignorant because you didn't respond to their phone call immediately as you were busy at the time. In those 20 minutes think about all the positive things you could have done instead - gone for a walk, had a cup of you favourite tea, spoken to family etc.
3. Practise 20 minutes of daily mindfulness meditation to teach yourself how to let thoughts go.
I LOVE mindful colouring - I really thinks it helps detach yourself for the busy world we live in and you can just be free and create something beautiful that has come from you - come from within. You get so lost you don't think about anything else.
4. Make the distinction between a real problem & an imagined scenario that hasn't happened yet.
This is tough - but maybe the key here is to just go with the flow more, more with whatever pops up first in your head to cut down on over-thinking.
5.Be patient with yourself!! Learning how to worry less takes time.
There are no quick fixes in life or easy routes. Everything takes hard work, dedication and will power to keep going. So small steps everyday will conquer the overall task eventually.
Worrying is one of the easiest traps and habits to full into. With our busy lives, there is always things to consider, sort, organise, arrange, think about, work towards and we get ourselves so wrapped up in knots trying to 'OOPS THAT WORD AGAIN' - make everything perfect when perfection doesn't exist, hence the added stress but we then lose out enjoying all the happiness, joy and enjoyment we can soak up instead of all these silly evils pulling our moods down not raising them up..
My law of attraction books are teaching me that is something isn't bringing anything worthwhile to my life and only negatives -let it go and don't deal with it.
So when we can sense ourselves begin to worry - address the issue, maybe it is a small as what to cook for dinner ( go with your gut - what are you hungry for) don't be worrying that there are mushrooms in the fridge going off but your dish doesn't include mushrooms. You could maybe make a side salad with them or make a pasta sauce you can use tomorrow.
Or it can be a bigger issue like should you purchase this particular apartment. Do you like the apartment? Does it fit your needs? Do you instantly want to buy it?
Don't think YES THIS IS THE HOUSE FOR ME then sit there for 3 days talking yourself out of it by worrying about potential problems - examples: the carpets need re-placing, the location is a little further out than I wanted, the paint colour is awful or I would need to buy a shed. Its all time wasting, most of the above can be fixed or changed and like we said above NOTHING WILL EVER BE PERFECT.
Why waste time we don't have.
Life is hard work - no doubt about it!
We are always going to be faced with challenges and goals everyday but we also have to see them as part of the ride we are on and make the ride as fun as possible.
Limit the negatives and heighten the positives.
All I am blogging about at the moment are all linked so beginning to conquer one will hopefully set off like a domino effect helping everything else fall into place and you be able to break the habits needed to create happiness for ourselves.
I hope these points help you out a little more, again any advice you have or any books you have been reading in regards to law of attraction, anxiety & stress let me know.
LOVE & PEACE
Feeling sluggish and rubbish when you have woken up? Get boosting up on bananas the more the better - they will help settle your stomach, boosting digestion, they are a mood enhancer, they will give you the energy you need and keep you full. Buy my book for banana receipe ideas.
Wake up every morning and ATLEAST have one glass of lemon water before doing anything else! Ideally try to drink a litre of water. The lemon wakes up your digestive system ready for the day and has great cleansing properties.
Check your dairy and meat intake - dairy can sit in your system for up to seven days unable to digest properly. Meaning other foods also get neglected and nurtients aren't absorbed properly and you feel extremely bloated. Go and smell your food bin, your stomach will be in that state. Rotting foods in your belly - hmm nice.
DO NOT FEAR CARBS - THEY ARE NOT THE ENEMY! CARB UP!!
Bananas, Rice, Potatoes, Leafy Greens, Corn, Beans, Lentils etc PACK THEM IN GO MAD.
NEVER COUNT CALORIES - NEVER RESTRICT!! These restriction 'starvation' diets who tell you to only eat 500 calories a day then have a treat day - where you binge out and eat WAY too much, is simply messing up your metabolism and on your binge days yours body stores all the fat meaning you gain weight because it knows it is going to go back into starvation mode and needs to hold onto every little thing it can. HELLO WEIGHT GAIN.
Life is too short not to live it to the full, making yourself happy.
