Detailed Testing. Viruses - The Damage!

If getting a test for Lyme - especially within the U.K. wasn't hard enough, having to send bloods over to Germany as we don't test for Lyme in our country anymore. It now seems it could be even more tasking. Why? Well as you all know now a tick bite could not only infect you with Lyme Disease but you will often contract a number of other nasty & dangerous viruses. 

 

 

These viruses won't show up on a Lyme test - you have to test for these specifically. 

 

That's why it's more important than ever that when you manage to get yourself an appointment with a specialist in Lyme that you go through your medical history in great detail. Recording any bites, illnesses, travel locations and symptoms

 

Because as I do if you have the Herpes 6 virus and Epstein Barr viruses these are and can be a real danger if left untreated. Both these viruses attack your body's B-cells. B-cells are what keeps your immune system working efficiently. When these viruses attack the cells, changing their DNA the immune system begins to break down and becomes extremely suppressed . Allowing your body to be open to other viruses & cancer cells to be produced. 

 

Herpes 6 can cause; gastrointestinal cancer, leukaemia and Hodgkinson's disease.

Whilst Epstein Barr can cause; head and neck cancers. 

 

Which of course is a scary thought and on top of everything else you don't want to be suffering from on top of the Lyme. 

 

These viruses require different treatment to the Lyme Disease, and so this is why separate tests need to be carried out inorder for you to receive the treatment you require.

The tests are just simple blood tests, there aren't any scans or procedures to worry about. 

 

However giving your consultant a detailed run down of your history and symptoms will allow them to make a better diagnosis and do all the tests you require.

 

We all know how Lyme is a little bit of a Russian roulette game and just one wrong move, misdiagnosis or the wrong cause of treatment could be fatal. It is a same kind of story with these other viruses if they go undetected

 

 

Do not get confused with Lyme & cancer symptoms.

 

This also makes it difficult, as stage 2 & 3 Lyme Disease symptoms mirror those of the final stages of cancer.

 

- food intolerances

- leaky gut

- digestive disorders

-brain fog

-memory loss

-balance problems 

-aches

-headaches

-weight loss 

-weakness in muscles and joints

-sensitivities to movement, light and noise 

- insomnia

 

So even if tests are expensive, lengthy or intense, please agree to having them done and getting thoroughly checked out. You will be thankful for doing so later and won't regret putting your mind as ease. 

 

 

You may have to search further afield to find and gain the right doctor! But remember it is so worth the time and energy spent finding the right person to get you the correct treatment.

Check your dairy and meat intake - dairy can sit in your system for up to seven days unable to digest properly. Meaning other foods also get neglected and nurtients aren't absorbed properly and you feel extremely bloated. Go and smell your food bin, your stomach will be in that state. Rotting foods in your belly - hmm nice.

DO NOT FEAR CARBS - THEY ARE NOT THE ENEMY! CARB UP!!
Bananas, Rice, Potatoes, Leafy Greens, Corn, Beans, Lentils etc PACK THEM IN GO MAD.

NEVER COUNT CALORIES - NEVER RESTRICT!! These restriction 'starvation' diets who tell you to only eat 500 calories a day then have a treat day - where you binge out and eat WAY too much, is simply messing up your metabolism and on your binge days yours body stores all the fat meaning you gain weight because it knows it is going to go back into starvation mode and needs to hold onto every little thing it can. HELLO WEIGHT GAIN. 

Life is too short not to live it to the full, making yourself happy.
