Something silly, stupid and attention seeking symptom?
Stop right there.
Brain fog is far from fun, games and laughs.
Ever felt trapped, lost, in a daze? Maximise those feelings by 100.
You feel lost, but you can't remember how, or why. You are confused and don't really know what you are doing/saying.
You make conversation but you don't really understand what you are saying, you just say things that pop into your mind. You can't think over them before you say them either, often leaving you to say silly things, not make sense or mix up words.
You don't feel in control. You are locked behind a screen watching the world just floating in a bubble and daze.
You rely on social media, previous messages from your phone and loved ones to fill in the gaps you can't place.
You wonder if you are going crazy, losing you mind. Yet somehow you have to smile and accept that you have blanked out for some unexplained reason. Though it affects you, not just physically because you feel unwell and dazed but you fear you have again missed important times, memories and moments.
So we really do begin to cherish every moment. As we don't know if our symptoms will get worse or improve. We live in fear of them becoming worse and losing our memories more often.
When you feel you miss so much already to begin missing things you did get to experience is also just as soul-crushing.
Brain fog isn't to be taken as a joke as 'oh you were dazed.'
We were drunk and blacked out like we were drunk without all the drink.
You often feel drunk - off balance, in a daze, dizzy and spinning. It makes you question why people let themselves get to that point as when I feel like this it panics me.
It's alarming that 7 out of 10 Alzheimer's patients had Lyme disease whether they knew of their disease or not. It was found in their bodies upon death.
Brain fog may just be a symptom that comes and go and lasts for a short time at present but we live in hope that it doesn't progress further. With alarming evidence from above you really do worry that progression is likely to occur and maybe something we will have to learn to accept.
None of us know what is around the corner.
This is why I always stress to enjoy every moment.
Another Lymie's said - ' pain is inevitable but joy is a choice.'
Our enjoyment we still control. This is our story. We only have limited time so make the most of it! Despite the challenges that are thrown at us.
So, if I seem to ask odd or silly questions about a time or an event please just help me out. I may have misplaced a few pieces of the jigsaw. It wasn't because I was bored, or not enjoying your company / event etc. I must have just hit a point. A point I don't know or realise I am at.
- just ask. Question any questions you want answering.
- check social media.
- look over messages.
-check your camera roll.
- check emails
You may find pictures that prompt memories, or remember posting pictures / status' that can again bring memories back to you. Or at the very least show you proof and evidence you were there experiencing the memories you have lost.
I hope this helps explain this symptom and if you suffer from regular brain fog it gives you faith & hope that you aren't the only one.
Love and peace
Feeling sluggish and rubbish when you have woken up? Get boosting up on bananas the more the better - they will help settle your stomach, boosting digestion, they are a mood enhancer, they will give you the energy you need and keep you full. Buy my book for banana receipe ideas.
Wake up every morning and ATLEAST have one glass of lemon water before doing anything else! Ideally try to drink a litre of water. The lemon wakes up your digestive system ready for the day and has great cleansing properties.
Check your dairy and meat intake - dairy can sit in your system for up to seven days unable to digest properly. Meaning other foods also get neglected and nurtients aren't absorbed properly and you feel extremely bloated. Go and smell your food bin, your stomach will be in that state. Rotting foods in your belly - hmm nice.
DO NOT FEAR CARBS - THEY ARE NOT THE ENEMY! CARB UP!!
Bananas, Rice, Potatoes, Leafy Greens, Corn, Beans, Lentils etc PACK THEM IN GO MAD.
NEVER COUNT CALORIES - NEVER RESTRICT!! These restriction 'starvation' diets who tell you to only eat 500 calories a day then have a treat day - where you binge out and eat WAY too much, is simply messing up your metabolism and on your binge days yours body stores all the fat meaning you gain weight because it knows it is going to go back into starvation mode and needs to hold onto every little thing it can. HELLO WEIGHT GAIN.
Life is too short not to live it to the full, making yourself happy.
