Have a purpose to take part in a life I still lead,
Chasing happiness out of greed,
Unsure whether to express your pain,
Are you going insane?
Are the rashes real,
The sickness you feel,
You don’t want to be rude,
You can’t taste your food,
Another day where pleasures are rare,
How is this life fair?
Doctors look at you confused and pass you on,
They want you out of their room and gone,
They don’t check properly or know the signs you see,
This isn’t the life I pictured for me,
Itch but don’t scratch the rash,
Waiting for your body to drop to the floor with a bash,
Your throat is closing up and it’s hard to breathe but you can’t tell,
Not until I am literally dying will I ring the bell,
Time is of the essence,
Make people feel your presence,
To open your eyes and know you won another day,
On with the game you play,
You look okay?
People will say,
You rot inside,
Holding yourself up on the side,
Feeling sick from the rollercoaster ride,
Your mood like the waves and the tide,
Up and down,
People speak in this town,
You are doing your best,
You must rest,
You may not feel strong,
With a symptom list that is so long,
You give simple answers so people can’t tell,
You are losing the person to them you sell,
Sometimes you have to cry,
Disappointed in yourself you can’t deny,
You hide away,
To keep others save in some way,
Of the darkness and pain,
You’ll always try to dance in the rain,
There are days you can pull this off and days you cannot,
You get yourself wrapped up in a knot,
You choose to try and allow yourself to grow,
Your better self you hope to show,
Leaving footprints wherever you have walked,
Inspiring others whenever you have talked,
The pain and this disease has changed me,
That’s a fact you see,
My mood is low,
As I fight to grow,
I fight with my sword day and night,
Life has more battles in store- I must sit tight.

Wake up every morning and ATLEAST have one glass of lemon water before doing anything else! Ideally try to drink a litre of water. The lemon wakes up your digestive system ready for the day and has great cleansing properties.
Check your dairy and meat intake - dairy can sit in your system for up to seven days unable to digest properly. Meaning other foods also get neglected and nurtients aren't absorbed properly and you feel extremely bloated. Go and smell your food bin, your stomach will be in that state. Rotting foods in your belly - hmm nice.
DO NOT FEAR CARBS - THEY ARE NOT THE ENEMY! CARB UP!!
Bananas, Rice, Potatoes, Leafy Greens, Corn, Beans, Lentils etc PACK THEM IN GO MAD.
NEVER COUNT CALORIES - NEVER RESTRICT!! These restriction 'starvation' diets who tell you to only eat 500 calories a day then have a treat day - where you binge out and eat WAY too much, is simply messing up your metabolism and on your binge days yours body stores all the fat meaning you gain weight because it knows it is going to go back into starvation mode and needs to hold onto every little thing it can. HELLO WEIGHT GAIN.
