BBC Radio Lancashire & Upcoming Events.

January 23, 2019

What news do I have for you all?

Firstly tomorrow is going to be a manic busy day. Firstly I have to go to the hospital to see if I can get some and ANY help for my on-going, awful symptoms. I need relief and I am praying I will get some. PRAYING. As I am really struggling to battle through them at the moment.

THEN,

I will be on BBC Radio Lancashire with Gilly at 3pm to discuss my book, fundraisers and Lyme Disease. So tune in and I am very grateful to him, for inviting me on. I am super excited!

We are now also in the process of drawing up posters and tickets for our first up and coming fundraising event - An All White Abba Night. This is sure to be a mega fun night with all your classics and more. It will be a night of joy and a lot of dancing. The event will be held at Wyrebank in Garstang. We will be supporting my two chosen charities: Lyme Disease UK and Invisiyouth.

The ticket price will be £15 and you will enjoy a party night with a light supper.

7.30pm-11.30pm with carriages at 11.45pm.

SATURDAY 4TH MAY, 2019. Pencil it into your calendar.

I am hoping to sell tickets via my website and blog to make it easier for those of you who live outside of Garstang and can't go to Acresfield Health Club and Spa or Wyrebank to purchase them.

I will keep you informed to as and when we have everything up and running for this event and where tickets can be purchased. I hope you can all join us for a fab night raising money for causes so dear to my heart.

For now thank you for all your love and support. I know we are still 20 days away from my official book release date but the response so far has really warmed my heart. Thank you, so much. I TRULY hope so many of you enjoy the book and find it very helpful to you - inspiring even.

From the bottom of my heart,

THANK YOU!

COOKING TIPS

#1
Feeling sluggish and rubbish when you have woken up? Get boosting up on bananas the more the better - they will help settle your stomach, boosting digestion, they are a mood enhancer, they will give you the energy you need and keep you full. Buy my book for banana receipe ideas.

#2
Wake up every morning and ATLEAST have one glass of lemon water before doing anything else! Ideally try to drink a litre of water. The lemon wakes up your digestive system ready for the day and has great cleansing properties.

#3
Check your dairy and meat intake - dairy can sit in your system for up to seven days unable to digest properly. Meaning other foods also get neglected and nurtients aren't absorbed properly and you feel extremely bloated. Go and smell your food bin, your stomach will be in that state. Rotting foods in your belly - hmm nice.

#4
DO NOT FEAR CARBS - THEY ARE NOT THE ENEMY! CARB UP!!
Bananas, Rice, Potatoes, Leafy Greens, Corn, Beans, Lentils etc PACK THEM IN GO MAD.

#5
NEVER COUNT CALORIES - NEVER RESTRICT!! These restriction 'starvation' diets who tell you to only eat 500 calories a day then have a treat day - where you binge out and eat WAY too much, is simply messing up your metabolism and on your binge days yours body stores all the fat meaning you gain weight because it knows it is going to go back into starvation mode and needs to hold onto every little thing it can. HELLO WEIGHT GAIN.

Life is too short not to live it to the full, making yourself happy.
