Poetry Sunday - You

February 3, 2019

You,

You never really listen to you,

You think you are a failure in all that you do,

You can't see the woods you have travelled through,

You see the darkness that fills your skies,

You fight hard against the tears that fill your eyes,

Not many people hear your cries,

Sometimes the smile on your face hides the lies,

You write more,

With your heart you explore,

Hoping that people will want an encore,

So you can write and create far more,

You are lost but know what you want to be,

You struggle to see the real me,

Though others may see,

I don't feel free,

I give my best,

I forget to rest,

If you want to judge then be my guest,

I will always give you may best,

I seek the sun.

I try to have fun,

My health is a smoking gun,

I don't know how I have begun,

I have kept faith in fate,

Hoping to make a mate,

Maybe even a date,

Don't worry I will never be late,

I will pull myself to get up and paint on a brave face,

I will always endeavour to handle myself with grace,

Life I am learning isn't race,

But I am trying to make it ace,

I am an open book,

I am never off the hook,

At me in disgust you may look,

I am busy making my story into a best selling book,

I have the desire,

To always inspire,

From life I will never retire,

Even when I really tire,

I will always get up and fight,

Keeping my goals in sight,

I am alien in so many ways it is often hard to see the light,

All I want is to be a star that shines bright,

My story may not be the one you wanted it to be,

But this is me,

I am trying to understand it all too you see,

Maybe one day you and I can be proud of me,

You think you are a failure but you are just a girl finding her feet,

Often feeling the heat,

That makes you skip a heart beat,

I guess I must buckle in and take a seat,

Nobody knows what the future will hold,

I have a story waiting to be told,

It may be quite bold,

Let's hope it flies off the shelves and is SOLD, SOLD, SOLD.

COOKING TIPS

#1
Feeling sluggish and rubbish when you have woken up? Get boosting up on bananas the more the better - they will help settle your stomach, boosting digestion, they are a mood enhancer, they will give you the energy you need and keep you full. Buy my book for banana receipe ideas.

#2
Wake up every morning and ATLEAST have one glass of lemon water before doing anything else! Ideally try to drink a litre of water. The lemon wakes up your digestive system ready for the day and has great cleansing properties.

#3
Check your dairy and meat intake - dairy can sit in your system for up to seven days unable to digest properly. Meaning other foods also get neglected and nurtients aren't absorbed properly and you feel extremely bloated. Go and smell your food bin, your stomach will be in that state. Rotting foods in your belly - hmm nice.

#4
DO NOT FEAR CARBS - THEY ARE NOT THE ENEMY! CARB UP!!
Bananas, Rice, Potatoes, Leafy Greens, Corn, Beans, Lentils etc PACK THEM IN GO MAD.

#5
NEVER COUNT CALORIES - NEVER RESTRICT!! These restriction 'starvation' diets who tell you to only eat 500 calories a day then have a treat day - where you binge out and eat WAY too much, is simply messing up your metabolism and on your binge days yours body stores all the fat meaning you gain weight because it knows it is going to go back into starvation mode and needs to hold onto every little thing it can. HELLO WEIGHT GAIN.

Life is too short not to live it to the full, making yourself happy.
