NO WASTE: Once the candle has been used, the jars can easily be washed out with warm soapy water and reused.

I was blessed with the opportunity to try the Lavender Self Care kit, focusing on sleep. As you all know with Lyme one of my worst symptoms is insomnia. With insomnia, it affects all areas of your life: energy levels, mood and performance. Improving this area of life can be the piece of the puzzle we were missing to create a full picture. 

We all want to live full, active lives. Not feel fatigued, low functioning and foggy. Lack of sleep contributes to these feelings. 

It is easy to walk to your pill cabinet and look for aids but especially with Lyme and other chronic diseases the natural route is the best road to go down. Our bodies are TIRED, OVERWHELMED and OVERLOADED with toxins. 

I have to say after struggling for so many years, I did begin to wonder if natural aids would pack the power I needed to over-ride the pain and help me drift off. 

As you all know I eat a plant-based & vegan diet because again everything has to be fresh, limiting toxins and natural so the products I use also have to be safe. I used the self-care kit as a night routine for a week:

I take a bath every night as showers are a no-go with low blood pressure. 

So, I added the bath salts and bomb ( we were ideal for me) to my bath which I normally have at 6.20-6.45pm every evening. 

I then ate dinner before lighting my SLEEP candle from 8-9.30pm.

Normally I hop into bed about 10pm and it takes me a good 2 hours of tossing turning before I drift off, before waking up at 3/4am.

By 9pm my eyes were struggling. I was drifting off. This was so surprising to me because like I say normally I am interreacting with all you guys over on social media, listening into travel training webinars or writing out content plans until 10/10.30pm each evening. I am tired but wide awake with pain. 

I found myself putting my phone down getting into bed earlier and managing to sleep until 4am without as many disturbances. I found myself feeling fresher and my brain was less foggy each morning. I was more productive and the energy I had to pour into my work, into my messages to all you guys was far more valuable than normal. 

I am aware, I will never be blessed with being a deep sleeper & a sleeper that can sleep through everything & anything. My illness is a daily battle but finding NATURAL ways of soothing & AIDING us is like gold to us.
